Assumptions / External Factors

ASSUMPTIONS:

• There is something wrong with the current re-entry programs
• The evaluation will uncover the barriers inhibiting ex-offenders from a successful re-entry
• Mentally diagnosed offenders will not trust re-entry process due to barriers are identified, if not corrected
• Appropriate changes can be made to eliminate the barriers
• We will have access to food desert residents, key stakeholders, neighborhood partners, etc. in order to conduct evaluation as planned
• Evaluation participants will provide useful and meaningful feedback
EXTERNAL FACTORS

• Circumstances beyond our control prevent our contact with community providers and/or family members to conduct the evaluation (i.e. health issues, security risks, natural disasters)
• Some community providers may not be available or willing to participate in the evaluation study
• Ex-offenders no longer need re-entry services
• Clinical Case Management is no longer a program within the Department of Correction.
